About Us

Senior VIP Community Support Services began with a small group of seniors who met in 1984 who were interested in contributing to our community through volunteering. From that point, the non-profit, charitable organization grew to its 400 volunteers involved in many community volunteer efforts today, with its office located in the Lochiel Kiwanis Centre in Sarnia.

Senior VIP receives funding from the Ministry of Health and supplements this subsidy with fundraising efforts.

In addition to its volunteer program, Senior VIP offers a Home Maintenance Program, Handy Helpers Program and Trades Registry as well as Caregiver Support Services.  Senior VIP also operates the Senior VIP Centre, a drop-in for seniors located at Bayside Mall.  Other events sponsored by Senior VIP include the annual free tax clinics held for seniors.

Senior VIP also operates the Volunteer Centre of Sarnia-Lambton, which recruits and places over 300 volunteers in volunteer positions in member community agencies.
